Trauma-Informed Care Plan
Safety first. Healing follows.
You are safe here
No judgment. No rushing. Just care.
There is no hierarchy of trauma. Whether your experience was a single event or years of suffering, you deserve care.
PTSD and complex trauma show up differently in everyone. If these symptoms have persisted for over a month, professional support can help.
Intrusive memories, flashbacks, or nightmares of the trauma
Feeling constantly on edge, hypervigilant, or easily startled
Emotional numbness, detachment, or feeling disconnected
Avoiding places, people, or situations that remind you of the trauma
Physical reactions — racing heart, sweating, trembling when triggered
Severe sleep disturbances and recurring trauma nightmares
Irritability, angry outbursts, or aggressive behavior
Difficulty concentrating and memory problems
Trauma symptoms often overlap with depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. A proper evaluation brings clarity.
Comprehensive, trauma-informed care from evaluation through recovery — in-person, via telehealth, or by audio/phone. Always at your pace, always with your consent.
Initial: $350
A compassionate, thorough assessment that respects your experience. We use validated PTSD screening tools (PCL-5), assess for co-occurring conditions like depression and anxiety, and understand your trauma history at your pace — never rushed, never dismissive.
Follow-up: $150+
Evidence-based medication for PTSD symptoms: intrusive thoughts, nightmares, hypervigilance, anger outbursts, and emotional numbness. We start carefully, monitor closely, and adjust to find what works for your unique symptom profile.
$150 per session
Practical, skills-based therapy that helps you process traumatic experiences, manage triggers, regulate emotions, and rebuild a sense of safety. We move at your pace — stabilization first, deeper processing when you are ready.
Trauma recovery is not linear — and that is okay. Here is the compassionate, evidence-based path we walk together.
We start by creating safety. Your evaluation is trauma-informed — meaning you control the pace, you choose what to share, and we never push. We assess symptoms, co-occurring conditions, and your goals for healing.
Before processing trauma, we focus on stabilizing your nervous system. Sleep, grounding techniques, emotional regulation, and trigger management come first — so you feel safe enough to heal.
When you are ready, we work through traumatic memories using evidence-based approaches. The goal is not to forget — it is to integrate the experience so it no longer controls your present.
As symptoms improve, we focus on rebuilding relationships, reconnecting with joy, and creating a life that feels meaningful again. Relapse prevention planning ensures you have tools for the long term.
Trauma survivors deserve providers who understand. Here is what makes our approach different.
Every interaction — from scheduling to therapy to medication — is grounded in trauma-informed principles: safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
We understand the neuroscience of trauma, the complexity of PTSD symptom clusters, and the nuances of treating co-occurring depression, anxiety, and substance use.
Some trauma survivors prefer the safety of home for telehealth or audio/phone. Others find in-person grounding. We offer all three across Minnesota so you can choose what feels safest.
Medication can reduce nightmares, hypervigilance, and emotional overwhelm. Therapy addresses the root cause. Together, they create the strongest foundation for recovery.
Trauma recovery cannot be rushed. We follow your lead — some patients need months of stabilization before processing trauma, and that is completely valid.
When you are ready to start healing, waiting weeks is not an option. We prioritize getting trauma survivors seen quickly so you can begin your recovery journey.
Recovery is possible. These are stories from trauma survivors who found their way back to safety and peace.
"I had been to the VA multiple times but never felt truly heard. The provider here took the time to understand my combat experiences without judgment. The prazosin stopped my nightmares within a week. Therapy helped me finally talk about things I had buried for 15 years. I have my life back."
Michael H.
Military PTSD · Minneapolis, MN
"I was terrified of being re-traumatized by treatment itself. My provider moved so slowly and carefully, checking in every session about whether I felt safe to continue. For the first time, I felt like I was in control of my own healing. Telehealth let me do this from home, which made all the difference."
Elena R.
Childhood Trauma · St. Cloud, MN (Telehealth)
"After my accident, I could not drive, could not sleep, and jumped at every loud noise. I thought I was broken. Within six weeks of starting treatment, I was driving again. Within three months, the flashbacks were rare. The combination of medication and therapy saved me."

Honest answers to the questions trauma survivors most often ask before starting treatment.
Normal stress fades after a difficult event ends. PTSD persists for months or years after trauma, with intrusive memories, nightmares, flashbacks, and a constant sense of danger. If you are reliving a traumatic event weeks or months later, or avoiding places and people that remind you of it, it may be PTSD — and it is treatable.
Have a question not answered here? We are happy to talk — no pressure, no commitment.
