Provider Bio
With over 20 years of nursing experience, Gernine has dedicated her career to caring for patients across a variety of healthcare settings, including long-term care, dementia units, assisted and independent living, transitional care, and inpatient psychiatric services. She has served as a bedside nurse, charge nurse, and case manager, guiding and supporting teams of CNAs, LPNs, and RNs while providing exceptional patient care.
Throughout her career, Gernine has developed a deep understanding of the challenges patients face, particularly those living with dementia and mental health conditions. Recognizing the need for timely and compassionate mental health care, she pursued advanced education as a Family Nurse Practitioner and earned her post-master's certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
